Stage 5 - Child Studies
At Blayney High School we offer an engaging delivery of the Child Studies course. We deliver learning that is relevant and interesting to improve student knowledge in pregnancy, care for babies, infants and toddlers. Our students are active participants in the local community. They organise and run children's activities at the local Farmers Markets, visit the local preschools and primary schools to create and deliver engaging activities. Students also have the opportunity to prepare nutritional recipes and relevant craft activities for children. Each student participates in the Real Life Simulated Baby Program where they take a baby home for a night to gain valuable experience in the care of an infant. A range of diverse and engaging activities provide students with an enjoyable and educational learning experience.
