Programs/Information

The faculty is a large provider of extra-curricular activities aimed at reinforcing PDHPE course outcomes and promoting a positive school culture.

  • Combined High School (CHS) Sport - There are a number of structured coaching and representative opportunities for students to participate within competitive sporting situations.   • PSC – Premiers Sporting Challenge - The "Premiers Sporting Challenge – Learning to Lead Program" provides students with the ability to confidently organise, coach and direct peers. There is a strong link to the Heritage Country Schools Network. Students can pursue this program during Stages 5/6 and follow it through to school and community based roles.   • Carnivals - The PDHPE staff are also proud to organise important annual calendar days such as swimming, athletics and cross country carnivals which promote healthy inter-house competition amongst the student body. 
     
  • Inter School Competitions – These provide opportunity for students to engage in inter-school sporting visits promoting healthy competition, social interaction and experiences outside of the local area. These include the Kelso Visit (Year 7), Forbes Visit (Years 7-10) and Heathcote Visit (7-10).
