Welcome to the PDHPE Faculty at Blayney High School.
The Faculty plays an important role in the holistic progression of students within the school community. The driving force behind the Faculty is to assist students in their Physical, Mental, Social and Emotional Development. Course subjects are diverse and allow for a broad range of experiences for individual students. All teaching programs allow for a pathway of study from Year 7 to 12.
Students are given a wide exposure to many practical based activities in Mandatory Years 7-10 PDHPE courses. This is also reinforced in compulsory sport periods for students in Stages 4 and 5. A variety of motor skills are practised and developed in modified games and match like conditions, with a strong focus being placed on developing teamwork, communication and social skills. The theme of "having a go" and enjoying yourself is always presented.
The Faculty members are very happy for students to drop into the staffroom to discuss individual issues or requests relating to any aspect of the PDHPE domain.
The staff are:
Mr T Tilburg - Head Teacher PDHPE, PSC Co-ordinator/PDHPE teacher.
Mr P Hanman - Head Teacher Welfare, PDHPE teacher.
Mr A Salmon - Sports Coordinator/PDHPE teacher.
Mrs M Dickson - WWW Coordinator/PDHPE teacher.
