At Blayney High School our Careers department encourages, promotes and organises career based extra-curricular activities. These include areas such as
- University – CSU Skill Fix (Yr 7 and 8), CSU Future Directions (Yr 9 and 10), CSU Real Time and MyDays (Yr 11 and 12), UAC application and Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) information sessions and group sign up sessions, University Roadshowa and Facts About Careers and Tertiary Study (FACTS) Day
- Employment – White Card course, Skillset sign up, Careers Expo, Wool Expo, Defence Force visits, Step Out Bricklaying program and a variety of careers related welfare programs developing the employment probability of disengaged and at risk students
- Future Pathways - Power of Engineering Workshop, Robotics Workshop, TVET Open Day, a variety of employment specific video conferences and Yr 11 and 12 Work Experience (ie Meet a Keeper – Taronga Zoo)
