Mathematics

Mathematics is a core subject which is mandatory from K – 10, with most students continuing their mathematical journey in Year 11 and 12 with a variety of courses.

In the Mathematics faculty, our mission is to cultivate an environment where every individual’s self-worth is recognized and nurtured. We are dedicated to fostering respect for others, respect for self, and a deep respect for the learning process. By promoting critical thinking and a strong sense of efficacy, we set high expectations that inspire self-belief and drive excellence. Our goal is to empower students to achieve their fullest potential and become thoughtful, confident, and responsible contributors to society.

To complement our goals, the Mathematics faculty is composed of experienced, quality teachers who use data informed practice to identify the individual needs of their students.

Blayney High offers an extensive range of HSC courses to suit all students as well as streamed classes in Year 8, 9 and 10.
